Paragliding Accuracy Squad
Teams for FAI Paragliding Accuracy World and European championships are generally limited to five male and two female pilots who are pilot rated or have an IPPI4 rating. The team to represent Great Britain is selected from a squad of pilots using a performance based selection criteria, details of which can be found on this page. The squad is managed by a squad manager and pilots need to be registered as squad pilots.
The squad manager organises training camp weekends aimed at improving pilot’s accuracy skills at different sites. Coaching is provided and competitions are also held during the weekends which contribute to the selection process.
The squad is currently training towards the 2010 European Championships in Turkey and the 2011 World Championships in the Czech Republic. If you would like to register with the squad or just take part in these training camps, then contact the squad manager Chris Haynes.
